Compétences Montréal welcomes their newest member

The management of Compétences Montréal is pleased to welcome, as a new member of their team, Mrs. Carole Séguin, who has agreed to accept the position of Client and Development counsellor.

Over a span of 15 years, Carole has actively gained experience as a manager and coordinator of projects that were geared towards issues concerning women and immigrants. In a collaborative effort with her peers, many projects such as the one for immigrants with a graduate degree in engineering entitled “Gaining a rapid access to the Québec order of engineers”, professional immersion activities for immigrants and other projects as well were finally brought to fruition.

“The recognition of acquired competencies has always, during my work experience with women and immigrants, proven to be a critical challenge. For an individual arriving in Québec, the pursuance of their professional activities will continue instead of their having to start over from scratch. The recognition of a portion of their experiences and acquired competencies enables them to adapt to their surroundings and accelerates the integration process. Without a doubt, there are still many things left to develop within this project but my participation at this time in my life fills me with immense satisfaction .
